What is Gliding Into Tech?

Gliding Into Tech is an empowering organization founded by Giada Jimenez, a passionate Latina in computer science. Inspired by her journey in coding, which began in ninth grade, Giada is dedicated to helping others harness the power of technology. Through her involvement with the school’s Girls Who Code Club and the creation of multiple workshops, she has focused on making technology accessible and engaging for all ages.

One of her key initiatives, Tech Savvy Seniors, is a comprehensive 10-lesson workshop designed to help seniors navigate their smartphones with confidence. Participants learn essential topics such as artificial intelligence, various software applications, and smartphone settings, enabling them to connect with loved ones and the digital world more effectively.

In her Starting from Scratch workshop, Giada introduces children to the exciting world of coding using the Scratch game engine. Here, she teaches block coding principles, allowing young creators to develop their own tangible projects and explore their imaginations.

With a background as a figure skater, Giada embodies the spirit of grace and determination, which is reflected in the name Gliding Into Tech. She coded this website from scratch using HTML, CSS, and AI, showcasing her skills while giving back to her community. Through all her efforts, Giada aims to inspire and empower individuals by fostering a love for technology and innovation.
